Duo Viola da Mano String Length 56cm. Striped back of curly maple and bubinga. Bubinga sides. Plain maple neck and peg head. Pine resin and linseed oil varnish on the sides, back and peg head. Apart from the different rose designs these two instruments are virtually identical. With their well-balanced sound across the range and quickness of response they are ideally suitable for either the vihuela or early 16th century Italian lute repertoire (Francesco da Milano and his contemporaries). The instruments featured on this page belong to Monica Pustilnik and Manolo Laguillo. |
